React to the Loungeraptor on any
subject, like why does he refer to himself in the third person? |
New Location
Yes I finally broke away from ye old Geocities,
Tripod offers more space and a cgi-bin with all sorts of nifty Pearl Mod's for me to play with. Although the pop
up's can be annoying, I find it less annoying then banner ads and Java thingies.
New Features
The Salad Years: Revised
Adding and expanding the first part of my webography, just added Days Of Disco.
New Series: Ten Women I've Known
It had to be done. From the pages
of my own personal journal, an examination of ten of the most influential women from my life.
Move over Carl Hiaasen
This was a little advice from my friend Dan over
at smartasspunk.com on the feel of the website...
"If
yer lookin' for something that reflects what yer writing about, maybe you should go with a 'Horrors of South Florida'
theme? You could have speedo-clad French Canadians getting in car wrecks on US1 with retirees and clansmen. Or
palm trees falling over onto migrant farm workers fishing out of drainage canals. Or suburban white kids getting
all gussied up in their best punk rock / gangsta / goth gear to go hang out at the Broward Mall or Grand Prix.
Or redneck jocks beating up gays in the parking lot of Lesters. Or people being crushed to death when that pyramid
thing in Davie finally flips over in a hurricane. Or Marilyn Manson kids writing out suicide notes 'cuz mom bought
the wrong brand of cheeze-puff. Or bouncers from The Edge with swastika tattoos showing. Or Hollywood cops with
swastika tattoos showing. Or soccer moms with 'Stop The Violence' and NRA stickers on the backs of their SUV's...
You get the idea.... the material is endless. Just pick something that best encapsulates the place to you and styleclick here
it up a bit."
Dan, you sooo rock...
